MEASURED highlights next-generation carbon molecular sieve membranes at WHEC 2026
MEASURED research was featured at the 25th World Hydrogen Energy Conference (WHEC 2026), held in Singapore from 22 to 26 June 2026, bringing the project’s latest membrane innovations to one of the world’s leading hydrogen events.
During the conference, Alberto Zambon from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) presented the work entitled “Carbon Molecular Sieve Membranes for Upgrading Methane-Containing Gas Streams to Natural Gas Grid Specifications.”
The presentation showcased the latest generation of pilot-scale carbon molecular sieve membranes (CMSMs), measuring 50 cm in length, and demonstrated their potential to upgrade methane-containing gas streams to meet natural gas grid specifications. These advanced membranes offer a versatile solution for both hydrogen deblending and CO₂ methanation applications, supporting the integration of low-carbon gases into existing energy infrastructure.
By advancing high-performance membrane technologies for gas separation, MEASURED continues to contribute to the development of more efficient and sustainable hydrogen and renewable gas value chains. WHEC 2026 also provided an excellent opportunity to engage with the global hydrogen community, exchange knowledge, and strengthen collaborations driving the clean energy transition.
